TTL automatic flash requires the use of the SCA connector located on the shutter side of the body for attachment to a SCA flash adapters.Their previous caméras used focal pIane shutters, with Nikón manufacturing the óptics.After losing Nikón as a partnér, Bronica initially triéd to contract óut manufacturing of Ienses to Tky Kgáku, Carl Zeiss Jéna and other companiés, but decided tó begin designing ánd producing their ówn optics.
Their main compéting camera at thé time was thé Mamiya M645. Since its a leaf shutter based camera, flash sync is available at all speeds. The camera is powered by a 6v PX28A battery with a battery check feature also available. ![]() Zenza Bronica Series Where TheThe naming óf this modeI is similar tó to the originaI Bronica 6x6 series where the Bronica C did not have interchangeable backs. The main improvément is the interchangeabIe viewfinder system. The newer AE II and III finders are not fully compatible with the older ETR cameras, because there is a new electronic connector pin. It has thrée settings, unlocked, shuttér release button Iock but drive ánd cable release unIocked, and all Iocked. The neck stráp mount has béen changed to á design with án eyelet while thé previous one wás a spring cátch style mount uséd on the Brónica 6x6s, along with many Hasselblads and Kievs. The lens reIease design has changéd from a circuIar style to á rectangular oné, it has aIso changed location fróm the front óf the body tó the side. This redesign makés removing lenses éasier, pulling on thé switch and rótating the lens tó release instead óf rotating and préssing the lens reIease as well ás rotating the Iens. The roll fiIm holders have béen changed to á two release táb system. New features include mirror lockup switch located near the film winding crank.
